This hill station, Auli, is situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 2,500 metres. One can get the magnificent view of the snow capped Himalayan ranges. The soft snow laden slopes are apt for skiing. There are wonderful opportunities for trekking and nature walks in the nearby places.Prior to be being developed as a ski resort, the slopes were used as the training ground for the ski-equipped personnel.
