Aviation Turbine Fuel price hike

Aviation Turbine Fuel price hike and the resultant rise in air fare may affect the country’s tourism in general and specifically the hotel industry, feel industry sources. The occupancy rates in the country’s hotels may fall over the next few months due to the rise in price of air tickets, they fear.

The Delhi government has reportedly announced a reduction in entertainment tax on multiplexes and theaters from 30% to 20%. The move is likely to give a boost to the entertainment sector in Delhi.

Orissa with the rest of the country is gearing up for the Rath Yatra which is scheduled to take place on 4th July, 2008. Local hotels are offering various packages to tourists on the eve of the festival.
