Some 200kms off the Kerala coast a bunch of 27 scattered coral reefs and islands, dwelling in the middle of the Arabian Sea, are collectively known as Lakshadweep. Only 10 of these islands are inhabited. The main islands are Minicoy, Amini and Kavaratti, the headquarters.
