Munnar tourism
Located at the confluence of three mountain streams namely Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala, Munnar is one of the most beautiful hill stations in South India. This hill station situated at an altitiude of 1600 mtrs. above sea level, was once the summer resort of erstwhile British government in South India. Munnar Travel is made worthwhile by picturesque views of tea plantations, thick vegetation, wildlife reserve and lush rainforest. Munnar has gained visibility on the tourist map of Kerala in recent times to domestic and foreign visitors. Munnar is fast making a transition from tea, coffee and spice plantation centre to a prime holiday resort.

Tourist attractions in Munnar include an ideal trekking spot Attukal along with Devikulam, an exotic hill station with varied flora and fauna. Sita Devi Lake and Nyayamakad are ideal picnic spots.

Munnar is four hours drive from the steamy, tropical palm fringed coastal Cochin. Munnar is also accessible by road from most of the cities and town in Kerala. You can also reach Munnar form Coimbatore (6 hrs away) and Madurai (6 hrs away) in Tamil Nadu. Also, Auto-rickshaws and bicycles can be hired for exploring the town of Munnar.
