Ooty is a picturesque hill station in Tamil Nadu. Perched among the green-carpeted ranges of the Nilgiri hills, Ooty is a popular retreat, which was even favorite with the British too.

Doddabetta Peak: Nearly 10kms from Ooty, this is the highest peak (2634 metres) in the Nilgiris. Panoramic view of the entire district from the Telescope House here adds to the tourist attractions in Ooty.

Pykara Lake: The placid lake of Pykara, amid the lush green valleys is a lovely getaway from Ooty.

Kalhatty Waterfalls: Plunging down from a height of 100feet on the slopes of Kalhatty slopes, the waterfall is a breathtaking sight.

Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary: A short excursion away from Ooty, the wild life destination features among the major tourist attraction in Ooty. Covering an area of 1,140 meters at an altitude of 322sqkm, the deciduous forest has one of the largest populations of elephants in India.
