TRAVEL TO SHIMLA

Nestled on the foothills of the Himalayas, Shimla is one of the most prominent hill stations in India. A travel to Shimla would take you to the land of snow clad hills and cascading waterfalls.

During the Raj era, the British officials found a favorite in Shimla. When the Indian summer grew oppressive, the Britishers used to take refuge in this Himalayan retreat at the heart of Himachal Pradesh to save themselves from the sweltering heat of the north India. It is with the British favor, the non-descript village grew up to be one of the most popular hill stations. The same old colonial legacy retains its charm to much extent.

The tradition continues till date. As the mercury soars, a huge number of people travel to Shimla. No matter whether you are a honeymooner or adventurer or a simple traveler who relae in the beauty of nature, this 'mother of all hill towns' has something to offer everyone.

Breathtaking beauty of the majestic Himalayas and the fragrance of the Pines would render a pleasant shock as you travel to Shimla. Old colonial style buildings perched on the rolling valleys offer a prefect visual delight.

Pay a visit to the Chadwick Falls, Viceregal Lodge, Himachal State Museum, Sankat Mochen as you travel to Shimla. To cap it there is the Mall. Shop around or just hang out, spend your lazy evenings here.
